The Ads is singing a song for me.
She learned it at school.
Lots of movement...

How very non-Pentecostal.

The Tie (from March 2, 2005 -- yet it seems appropriate for now)

Hi.


The tie had a funny little design on it.

He thought it was kind of cool, you know, in a nerdy way.



BUT

HE

WAS

WRONG.



That funny little design was really some lettering from a foreign language.

The tie was a call to war. It insulted millions of people.

It mocked their way of life. ..their beliefs ... their god.



And

as he dangled from the make-shift noose

that had been fashioned together by the guys who work the truck-dock

in the room that until a few moments before had been known as the "Lounge",

the last thought that went through his mind before it was darkened forever

was,

"I really like my solid blue tie best."

Rock Concerts

So-- have you ever been to a concert... like a rock concert, dude?
What concerts have you attended?
Do you have any stories?


I've been to some concerts.
My first concert was Adam Ant... in April or May of 1982 or '83... I saw him twice.
My last concert was Cake.... I've seen them three times.
One of the best concerts was U2... in May 2001... I've seen them 4 (?) times.

I saw Michael Bolton.
He wanted me.

I saw Linkin Park.
They wanted me to baby-sit most of the crowd.

Another good concert was Foo Fighters.

Rush was good... saw them twice.

Well, the show title is LAME-O!

...but the show is quite cute.

It is like "High Fidelity" meets TV-comedy meets dash of UPN-programming.

Again.... I don't want to like it, but I do.

Uncontrollable likage.

Odd day

My ex-mother-in-law passed away this morning.

I am not sad.

In fact, I'm almost giddy with relief.

She's been a force of anger and evil and hatred in my life for 20+ years.

She's actively pursued making my life hell.



I feel free.

...and I feel guilty for not feeling sad....
